PITTSBURGH – Due to an adjustment in the healthcare rates for the three tentative agreements, tonight the Executive Board of the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers approved a new contract ratification vote to replace the ratification voting that is currently underway. The PFT and the District are working together to resolve the issue.
A representative from the PA Labor Relations Board will monitor the retrieval and storage of the unopened initial ballots. New official ballots will be mailed to PFT members in all three units as soon as the adjusted healthcare rates are available. The date that the new ballots will be counted has yet to be determined.
